- Analyse the company’s SWOT/PESTEL and establish critical success factors to enhance market position and derive competitive advantage.
- Investigate competitors and industry trends to anticipate environmental changes and deploy appropriate measures to address the challenges.
- Conduct what-if, decision-tree and scenario analyses to scrutinize the impact of the strategic plans on the company’s sustained growth.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial competencies and systems thinking capabilities to construct advanced business models, leverage revenue-generating opportunities and monetize creative ideas.
- Identify innovative strategies to scale the company’s operations within start-up and established environments across the organizational lifecycle.
Leadership
- Articulate the company’s vision and growth plans to align people management strategies to the corporate goals and ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations/legislation.
- Direct team performance to create/innovate new products/solutions and deliver organizational growth across diverse industries.
- Spearhead the talent acquisition process to recruit, select, onboard, induct and train staff across the business units.
- Institutionalize performance-oriented cultures, competitive pay structures, incentive programs and career development opportunities to enable employee growth and succession planning.
- Maintain open communication channels and an informal, positive environment to increase employee motivation, productivity, engagement and retention.
- Conceptualize and promote healthier employee relations, schedule training/development programs and enrich compensation/benefit packages to boost employee engagement/retention.
- Plan and execute company-wide job analysis initiatives to refine job descriptions, job specifications and pay structures to sustain the organization’s competitiveness within a changing environment.
- Enrich organizational capability by enabling team development through leadership, project and change management, lean training, and mentoring programs.
Operations Management
- Draft operational strategies to achieve business objectives while implementing management systems to continuously drive operational improvements.
- Devise Standard Operating Procedures across HSE, Production, Inventory Control, Quality, and Facilities Maintenance departments.
- Audit service operations and techniques to propel the business towards profitable growth while maintaining a competitive advantage.
- Introduce operational roadmaps to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and continually enhance the effectiveness of all operational initiatives.
- Implement LEAN transformation methodologies and cultural change programs to continuously upgrade Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale metrics.
- Guide all aspects of procurement management, including selecting vendors, managing supplier relationships and instituting best practices to maximize operational efficiency.
- Strategize and establish contact centers, call center operations and billing procedures to optimize customer satisfaction, retention and experience.
Financial Management
- Spearhead the annual CAPEX/OPEX budget and forecasting process to support the achievement of growth targets while minimizing costs.
- Govern all aspects of the organization’s finances to report/evaluate financial statements and facilitate data-driven strategic decision-making.
- Lead the legal department and institute tighter internal controls to ensure the compliance of accounting and financial practices with organizational policies, corporate/regulatory affairs and legislative protocols.
- Translate the strategic and operational roadmaps into financial plans, identifying gaps and monitoring trends to realize financial targets.
- Rationalize financial and accounting processes, including the AR, AP, Tax and Treasury from corporate to the business unit to consolidate the company’s financial position.
- Manage the end-to-end joint venture (JV) development process, including due diligence, recognizing target organizations for JV, establishing opportunities for alliances, and mediating transactions.
- Examine balance sheets, income and cash flow statements to consider appropriate investments in JV partnerships and propose equitable offers.
- Direct multimillion-dollar program portfolios to build strategies/business plans and set up/administer greenfield projects.
- Forecast, approve and control project budgets, and deploy project management structures to steer the programs.
- Evaluate project performance to incorporate a continuous improvement regime and execute the projects on time and within budget.
- Apply project governance frameworks to track, report and resolve problems while streamlining project processes to strengthen operational effectiveness.
Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Commercial Management
- Define sales and marketing strategies for diverse industries, including telecom, micro finance, industrial products, oil and gas, automotive dealership and consulting services.
- Create the strategic roadmap for the commercial department to advance business objectives, set up governance frameworks, mitigate risks associated with proposals, and augment resource utilization.
- Research and review the market to short list and target prospective clients, draft bespoke technical/commercial proposals, and comply with clients’ requirements.
- Develop pricing strategies to assert market competitiveness and provide high-quality products/solutions at optimal costs.
- Advertise products and product features in diverse media to attract new customers, improving brand equity and brand recall.
- Deliver customized / individualized services to clients to increase satisfaction, experience and loyalty.
- Understand the consumers’ buying behavior to develop promotional strategies and improve sales/revenue.
- Apply social media/online marketing initiatives to reduce customer acquisition and engagement costs.
- Train the sales team on product features, communication, customer service and negotiation skills to finalize deals and accomplish sales/customer satisfaction/retention goals.
